Make to Order。得意先受注を受けてから製造を開始し、特定の受注明細に紐付けて製造・出荷する生産方式。製造コストは特定受注に集計され、受注紐付きの特殊在庫として管理される。カスタマイズ品・高価格品・リードタイムが長い製品に適している。SAPでは品目マスタのMRP 3ビューで計画戦略グループ（戦略20など）を設定して実装する。

Make to Order (MTO)
A production strategy where manufacturing starts only after a customer order is received, with the production order directly linked to a specific sales order line. Manufacturing costs are collected against the specific sales order; finished goods are managed as sales-order stock. Suited for customized products, high-value items, and long lead-time goods. Implemented in SAP via the strategy group (for example strategy 20) in the material master MRP 3 view.
